Are you a woman who:



has ever smoked in her teens with her mother?

has ever smoked with her teenaged daughter?






DAMASK:  Phase 1



  • Eligible participants will be invited to complete a questionnaire and to participate in 1-2 interviews about smoking experiences with their mothers or daughters and a brief follow-up evaluation of each interview (2-3 hours in total).

  • Each participant will receive a $20 honorarium for each interview.

  • Interviews will be scheduled at a time and place that is convenient to the participants. The interviews can be face-to-face, by telephone or by computer, depending on what the participant prefers.

  • All interviews are voluntary , confidential , non-judgemental and will not involve smoking intervention. No personal identifying information will be released or published.

  • All interviews will be audio-taped and transcribed.
